it would seem i have a spam bot attached to my site.
it first attacked a forum section, which i ended up just deleting the whole section cuz there was 26 pages of spam, and the normal content was just not important enough for me to delete every spam post one by one.
but today for example i had only 2 regestered members and 14 guests(which i suspect is still the spambot) visit my site and i have over 1,200 page views.
that is not a normal amount of pageviews for such a small amount of visitors.
question is how do i get rid of it?
or can a hyperboards admin do it?

seems a few have looked at the post.
but nobody has answered.
today on my site there was 198 guests and like 4300 pageviews.
these are not real people.
this is a spam bot.
once again, i have had to delete a whole topic section due to this problem.
can somebody please tell me how to stop it?
or can a hyperboards admin please find a way?

yes, but it says it isnt a valid ip.
so i cant seem to bann it.

my suggestion to you, cause ive had a fair few attached to my cbox, make it to where the visitors CANT post on the boards. they can acces, but not post or reply. if its not a registered bot, then its a guest bot. thats all i can think of to save ur sanity till they can look at it.
